We have designated leading schools in software education, and are supporting them in establishing software education infrastructure. We are developing and diffusing software education in an attempt to stabilize software education in the field after being made mandatory.
Improving Software Teaching Ability of Pre-service Teachers
We are helping to improve the teaching abilities of reserve teachers through the Software Education for all Elementary Teachers program (SWEET), computer education in 12 primary teacher preparation colleges and 8 colleges of education, and through the SW-Eduthon program.
Improving the Software Teaching Ability of Current Teachers
We are operating remote, core and professional training for current teachers. We are providing support for elementary and middle school teachers’ research societies to develop optimal teaching-learning methods.
Developing Software Education Content
We are developing and providing various software teaching materials for school use, and are hosting the ‘SW Education Online Contents Contest’ for teachers to diversify and cultivate new online software education content.
Supporting of the Software Playroom
We are supporting software education of over a thousand students in a total of one hundred institutes nationwide, in local child care centers, multi-cultural family support centers, youth shelters, and schools in rural and costal regions.
Software Education Talk Show
Since software education has been made mandatory, we have provided elementary and secondary students and their parents with proper information and the chance to experience software education programs.
Online Coding Party
The Online Coding Party provides interesting coding missions of various difficulties that allows anyone to participate and learn. First held in 2015, the Online Coding Party now has more than 1.2 million cumulative participants.
Cultivating and Fostering Gifted Students in Software
We provide 30 classes for gifted students nationwide for the early detection of gifted talents. With software education support, we help train them to be key human resources that lead the digital economic era.
